This ministry seeks to extend "warmth" and prayers to those needing it by knitting prayer shawls and lap blankets. The prayer shawl ministry is designed to help those as they undergo medical procedures, as a comfort after a loss, during bereavement, prayer, medication, birthing, nursing a baby, and many other uses. Care, love, and blessings are knit into every shawl to provide comfort or solace to the receiver. What a great way to share in Christ’s love together! Join the prayer shawl ministry program! No experience necessary as someone will teach you to knit or crochet. Also, feel free to donate 3-5 skeins of Lion Brand yarn.
Our quilters meet weekly Thursday mornings to craft quilts which are frequently given to those in particular need.
There are many opportunities to take a meal to those recovering from illness or surgery, offer a potluck dish at church, provide for or volunteer at funeral lunches, and assist at other special event meals at the church.
We minister to those who are food insecure through our partnership with City Impact at Resurrection Life Church. We also have a food pantry in our building open the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 4-6 PM.
Our adults and youth are always on alert for local, out-of-state, and international mission opportunities. The youth participated in a mission trip to Guatemala in summer 2023.
Outreach is an important part of our church mission. Our Missions Board continually seeks ways to reach out to those in our congregation, to those with local needs, and to those outside our immediate reach.
